I keep wanting to play games like Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, etc, but I always get annoyed when I die due to my character's momentum carrying over when landing, or not stopping on a dime, or something to that effect.
On the other hand, there are games like Mega Man X, or Shovel Knight, with super crisp and precise platforming. What are some more games like this? Preferably on Wii U Virtual console or PC
