Hey everyone,

We’re back with our latest GameSessions Giveaway, the medieval life simulator, The Guild 2: Renaissance.

Game Type % Off Price
The Guild 2: Renaissance GameSessions Client 100% FREE
The Guild 2: Renaissance Steam Key 50% $4.99

To get the game for free, simply play the game for 5 minutes to activate it on your GameSessions account. Once the game is activated, it’s yours to keep and play forever, on GameSessions. The giveaway will end on 1st August, so you need to have activated the game before then to claim your free copy of the game.

If you want to add the game to your Steam library, outside of the GameSessions service, we’re offering a deal to buy a key for $4.99 (50% off) in-game or online. After buying it, you will then be able to transfer your progress to the Steam copy of the game.

About GameSessions and the giveaway:

  • We’re an online games retailer offering giveaways and trials of steam games on PC. We partnered with Humble Bundle last year to offer trials of some fantastic games and for one of our latest giveaways we offered Ryse: Son of Rome, sponsored by AMD.

  • GameSessions Giveaways have included Worms Reloaded, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, Strike Suit Zero and many more! Keep an eye out for even more giveaway titles soon!

  • Every hour or so, an overlay will show in-game to get feedback from gamers and show information about the game.

  • When you start The Guild 2 Renaissance for the first time, Windows needs to install DirectPlay. If the game crashes on first launch, restarting fixes the problem.

  • Users might occasionally see messages from GameSessions and our sponsors as well as a branded window that appears for 5 seconds after closing the game.

  • There are a few reasons why we require users to play for 5 minutes to activate their copy of the game: First, we can ensure that the Giveaway sponsor’s video (where applicable) has been seen. Second, we can report back to the publisher on how many people have actually played the game. Finally, we get as many people as we can playing the game, which helps the developer and publisher maximise their awareness amongst gamers generally.
